Select: click or tap an object. Shift-click or use list checkboxes for multiple selection. Drag selected objects together. Group selection to keep it together. Locked objects remain selectable but cannot move or be edited until unlocked. Arrow keys move; Shift moves farther; R rotates selected furniture; Delete removes; Ctrl/⌘ Z undoes; Ctrl/⌘ Shift Z redoes. Pan mode drags the view.
Boundary and zone tools: click each vertex, then Finish polygon. Wall, flow and dimension tools: click two points; Escape cancels the unfinished segment. Use the details panel to edit exact coordinates. A boundary must not cross itself. Feet use decimals: 10.5 feet means 10 feet 6 inches. Drawing a house creates schematic room zones and walls, not automatic wall joins.

Plans are processed locally with no accounts, analytics, uploads or remote libraries. Save plan stores multiple projects in this browser profile; downloading JSON keeps a portable backup. SVG and PNG exports reflect visible layers and show the full boundary. Print / PDF adds a plan legend and object schedule. Use the browser print dialog to save a PDF; printed scale depends on printer settings.
Rectangular footprints are used for overlap checks. Rugs, doors, windows, gates, planting paths, parking bays and loading-bay markers are excluded. Zones are descriptive and may overlap. Room zones do not automatically subtract walls or calculate regulatory occupancy. There is no 3D, automatic structural design, route optimization, load capacity calculation, code certification or door-swing validation. Vehicle and equipment symbols are customizable placeholders. Import supports this app’s JSON format, including the earlier Room Layout Studio version.
