Make the next session a little clearer.
Rhythm desk
Choose 30–240 BPM, 2–12 beats per bar and one to four clicks per beat. Three clicks divide the beat into triplets. The first beat can be accented. Start the metronome with a click or tap so the browser can enable audio. The volume slider affects both metronome and musical notes.
The scheduler uses the Web Audio clock with a short look-ahead window. Visual beat indicators depend on animation updates. Browser load, audio hardware, power-saving and tab changes can affect experience; this is a practice aid, not a calibrated timing instrument. Moving the app into a hidden tab stops the metronome. Stop audio stops both notes and clicks.
Tap tempo uses the median of recent valid intervals, within 250–2,000 ms. Tap at least twice. A gap longer than two seconds begins a fresh sequence. Beats per bar is a simple count, not a full time-signature or swing editor.
Chords and scales
Choose a root note, octave and pattern. Semitone offsets describe each pattern relative to the root. Click individual note pills or the keyboard, play a chord together, or play its notes as an arpeggio. Sounds use simple sine or triangle oscillators, not instrument recordings. Pitches use equal temperament with A4 at 440 Hz.
Scale playback follows the selected pattern up and down. The melodic-minor option uses its ascending pattern in both directions; it does not switch to the classical descending natural-minor form. Note names use a global sharp/flat preference, not complete diatonic spelling with double accidentals. The keyboard covers C3–B4 and highlights pitch classes across that range, independently of the playback octave.
Guitar fretboard
The top row is the highest-pitched string. Standard tuning is E2 A2 D3 G3 B3 E4; Drop D lowers only the lowest string to D2. Fret zero is the open string. Fifteen frets are shown. Highlight the selected chord or scale and click any note to hear it.
This is a pitch map, not a fingering system. It does not choose playable grips, assign fingers, recognise audio, detect tuning or display tablature. Change the root and pattern in Chords & scales; the fretboard uses those same choices.
Practice planner
Create named exercises with goals, minutes and BPM. Use loads an exercise into the session log form and changes the metronome tempo; it does not start playback. The session timer measures elapsed time across starts and pauses. Use elapsed time copies the measured duration into the log form after at least six seconds.
Logging is explicit. Enter an exercise, date and minutes, then Log practice. No microphone or recording is used. The live timer itself is not part of the saved backup; logged sessions are. Log minutes can be 0.1–600 and are rounded to a tenth when copied from the timer.
Saving and privacy
Save here explicitly stores settings, exercises and log entries in this browser. Download a JSON backup for portability. Open backup restores it. Browser data can be cleared, so keep downloaded backups. CSV exports the practice history. There is no account, uploads, analytics, remote library or external font.
Supported limits are 100 planned exercises and 2,000 logged sessions, subject to browser storage quota. Backups must be under 3 MB. Keep volume comfortable and use the app’s controls to stop sound. This build does not include music notation engraving, audio recording, automatic grading or pitch detection.
